:: The opening ceremony of service training course (2/2011) held by the lead of Hotelier Association under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism

Nay Pyi Taw (July -27) Union Minister U Tint Hsan attended and addressed in the opening ceremony of service training course (2/2011) held by the lead of Bagan Hotelier Association under the supervision of Ministry of Hotels & Tourism in Aye Yar River View Resort in Bagan Hotel Zone in 27-July, 8:00 am In the speech of Union Minister, He said that the service training course that was held in today is lead by Bagan Hotelier Association under the supervision of Ministry of Hotels & Tourism and in the objectives of the Ministry, the standards of hospitality service and practical measures and procedures must be improved and so, in implementation of this aim, such human resource development courses are arranged and trained. Tourism play a major role in the present day and many countries promote tourism for the growth of national income and tourism is included in poverty alleviation. On the other hand, quality of tourism rely on human resource, natural resource and cultural resource and the trainings of tourism and hotel service courses are becoming important for human resource development and it will help to be systematic development of hospitality and tourism businesses. Union Minister continually addressed that hotel service course (1/2011) was successfully opened in 2-6-2011 in Nay Pyi Taw hotel zone with 190 trainees and now, hotel service course (2/2011) is continually opened with 197 trainees in Bagan hotel zone. He said that Bagan is a place of Myanmar ancient pagodas assembled and a place where has lacquer ware, gold embroidery and puppet manufacturing and tourists’ arrival increasing yearly , so, we opened these trainings in Bagan zone that has 75 hotels and 1900 rooms in order to meet the requirements of increasing tourists. The courses that we open now are reception, housekeeping, food & Beverage and food & beverage production, and as most of trainees already had experience, it last four week now and it will bestow skill-achieved identity cards and brooches to the trainees who pass the courses. Proceeding, Union Minister encourages try to recognize lecturers and practices and then to participate partly in the future hospitality & tourism sector and try hard to be genuine skillful and qualified labour and study English and IT eagerly to get creation of new service in balanced with the changing world and to be provided the best to the needs of nation by trainees. Afterwards, Chairman of Bagan hotelier association U Than Shwe, Deputy Minister U Htay Aung, MTB chairman U Khin Shwe, Managing Director of MHTS U Hla Htay presented and discussed by the end of ceremony. And then Union Minister viewed teaching process in Aye Yar River View Resort and Amazing Golf Resort which has service training courses. In the opening ceremony of training, Ministry of Hotels & Tourism Deputy Minister U Htay Aung, Managing Director U Hla Htay, MTB chairman Dr.Khin Shwe, Local Authorities, Hoteliers in Bagan zone, inviting guests and trainees (197) attended. Afternoon, Union Minister discussed about four points and provided needs in order to open these in another travel zone (Mandalay, Taungyi, Inlay) and entry point and transport of Bagan that can leverage Bagan’s trips and to upgrade the standard of Hotels (rest area) and to find new interest point and tourist’s destination.
