  • Thingyan, the Water Festival is the ushering of the Myanmar New Year-Celebrated every year during Apirl.
  • During the Thingyan Festival people pour water on each other with well wishes-to the melodious tunes of Thingyan songs and dancing at the decorated pavilions.

  • A visit to Shan State includes the visit to Inle Lake.Heho is the nearest airport. Inlay Lake is natural and is famous for its scenic beauty and unique leg-rowing of the Inthas; the native lake dwellers.
  • Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, is one of the famous principal shrines in Myanmar. Eg.-rowing events are held every year.
  • Pindaya Cave is 45 km drive from Kalaw, well known for its extensive limestone caves. The caves are set deep in the hill sides we can see some 6000 Buddha images and interesting stalagmites.
  • Two hours drive from Taunggyi through a landscape dotted with clusters of villages and fields of red soil brings you to Kakku, another land of ancient pag-das.
  • Myanmar is a Land of Festival and Taunggyi Balloons Festival is one of the popular and colourful Festivals-celebrated on the fullmoon day of Tazaungmone in Taunggyi, Shan State.
  • Kalaw is another popular hill station-1400 meters above sea level. It is located 70 kilometers west of Taunggyi.

  • Rakhine State is situated in the westernmost part of the Union of Myanmar. Sittwe Airport is the gateway to Rakhine State. Being the capital city of Rakhine State, Sittwe boasts serveral interesting pagodas and monasteries and natural scenery.
  • Mrauk U is the 15th century ancient city of the Rakhine State popularly known for its old temples with wall paintings.Mrauk U snuggles between hilltops, rivers and two lakes.
  • The most well preserved temple in Mrauk U is Shitthaung, built back in the early 16th century. The caves, tunnels, passages and Buddha images of Shitthaung temples are intriguing.
  • There are many other temples to visit in the area surrounding Mrauk U.
